This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Kellogg’s® Pop-Tarts® Toaster Pastries.
I adore Pop-Tarts. They're one of my favorite afternoon treats, but unlike many people, who love Pop-Tarts warmed up in a toaster, I think they taste best at room temperature or cold. So when Pop-Tarts and BlogHer sent me some of their new Frosted Strawberry Milkshake-flavored Pop-Tarts to review, I felt absurdly vindicated to see this on the box:
Ha! I feel like telling Alfie (who insists on toasting his on the toaster oven on low, for precisely one minute), Seeeeeee, told ya. You can even make frozen treats with them, as I found out when I was invited to try out a fun Pop-Tarts recipe for Sprinkly Ice Cream Bites.
The only other ingredients you need for the recipe, other than Pop-Tarts, are sprinkles and ice cream. In fact, it's such a simple recipe that I let The Pea do it all on her own. She needed a bit of help cutting the Pop-Tarts into quarters, because the edges can crumble off and you lose that nice, clean side (not that it makes any difference in taste). And if you're making these, I'd advise you to let the ice cream soften just a bit so the Pop-Tarts top and bottom won't break in half when you smoosh the ice cream between them.
The result is pretty -- and pretty delicious. Once you've tried Pop-Tarts cold, you may never go back to heated Pop Tarts again!
The Pea certainly had fun making this treat. She even customized hers by adding pink frosting to the top (which is a bit toooooo sweet for me, but hey, she's a kid). Her birthday is coming up, and we're going to make these Sprinkly Ice Cream Bites to serve to her guests. I might even let the girls make it themselves as a craft activity -- I'll provide different flavors of ice cream and different kinds of sprinkles so they can personalize their creations, then have fun eating them!

I work nights so breakfast usually is dinner... sometimes I can't wait and grab a yogurt though...
My kids hate cold or hot cereal, they end up eating eggs and toast--or whatever convenience food I have available. Yes, this includes Pop-Tarts. :o)

Oh- hee hee forgot to say... Viva La PopTart for Brekkie!
Cereal...it's a classic.
Our favorite go-to breakfast is cereal as well! My husband likes the healthy (I'd say "tasteless") cereal, and I love the sugary stuff. Go figure!

Weekday breakfasts tend to be more cereals and granola bars, with the occasional poptart thrown in. Strangely enough my SO eats poptarts as a snack or with his lunch at work all the time, but not for breakfast.
on weekdays it is yo on the go and kids clif bars in the car. weekends are all about pancakes and omelettes

My go to breakfast simple: cereal or granola bars and milk.
We eat all kinds of stuff for breakfast - cold pizza, Pop Tarts, cereal, toast. (not all on the same day)
We are always in a rush and would rather sleep in a bit than wake early to prepare a big breakfast….so anything quick and easy. Cereal, muffin, yogurt and once in a while a donut or PopTart!

We're definitely a Pop-Tarts household here! I prefer them toasted (sorry!), but the kids often take them straight from the box to eat on the way to school. Personally, I prefer them as an afternoon or late night snack. Mmmm...Cherry is my favorite!
